Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how J & A Globalmet LLP (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit jandaglobalmet.com or contact us. We process personal data in line with applicable data-protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies to our European visitors and customers.

2. Data we collect

When you visit the website. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages securely, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is necessary to run and protect the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

When you send an enquiry. If you use our enquiry form or email us, we process the details you give us — name, company, email address, phone number, country and your message — to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a quotation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The form is protected against spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the request comes from a human without using tracking cookies. Enquiries are delivered to our business mailbox (Google Workspace).

Analytics and marketing — only with your consent. If you click “Accept” in our cookie notice, we load:

  • Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are viewed most;
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

These services set cookies and may transfer data to the United States. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you click “Decline”, none of these services are loaded. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page.

We store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so that we do not have to ask you again on every page.

3. Why we use your data

  • to answer your enquiries and prepare quotations;
  • to fulfil and administer orders;
  • to keep our website secure and working properly;
  • with your consent, to understand and improve how our website is used and to measure our advertising.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked for them.

4. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship, and afterwards only as long as legal retention obligations require. Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 14 months.

5. Recipients and international transfers

We use the service providers named above (Cloudflare, Google, Meta). Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in India and the United States. Where this happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, email jna@globalmet.in. If you are in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption for the entire website and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
